Day to Day info

School starts at 9.00am.

All children are welcome to come into the school playground from 8.35am, Bell will be rung at 8.45 for children to come into school to complete 'early morning work'. This may be changing a reading book, working on Sumdog or Timestables rockstars, completing marking pointers from the day before, working through spellings or any other short tasks as set by the class teacher.


Break time is 10.30 - 10.45am

Literacy and Maths lessons are in the mornings before and after break.


Poem a day a poem a day is shared with the children before lunch time


Lunchtime is at 12.00 for children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 who go into lunch straight away. All other year groups go outside for a play before going in for lunch.

Everyone returns to their classes for a 1.15pm start.

Collective Worship is held at 1.15pm every day.

Collective Worship is held in our school hall. Every two weeks we have a visit from Revd Paul Beynon on a Monday. Our other acts of Collective Worship include: whole school worship; class worship ; singing worship and celebration worship. Friday's Collective Worship is held at 2.45pm to allow parents to come along to join in.


The afternoons are a mixture of different lessons - art, ICT, Science, swimming, topic, music - all sorts of curriculum areas.


To complete the day the children are read to by an adult in their class.


School finishes at 3.15pm.



A range of after school clubs take place every term, led by school staff or other specialist providers. Please see the Clubs section of our website for more information about the clubs currently being run.
